As a Junior (1998-99) — ACC runner-up and NCAA qualifier at 125 lbs. ... Nearly earned All-America honors, falling short by one match after going 2-2 at the NCAA Championship ... Posted a 36-6 overall record, including an impressive 13-1 record in dual meets ... Led team with 10 falls and was not pinned ... Named to the All-ACC team ... Was the ACC Wrestler of the Week on Jan. 19 ... Made his way up the Carolina record book in several categories ... Moved up to sixth in school history in career winning percentage entering the 1998-99 season at .838 (93-18) ... Climbed to fourth in school history in career falls with 34 ... Won individual titles to open the season at East Stroudsburg and the Carolina Open ... Was second in Fort Lauderdale at the Sunshine Open ... Won 21 consecutive matches beginning at the Great Plains Invitational Jan. 4 and continuing through the ACC Tournament March 7 ...
