Q: How can I become a fighter?
A: Train period. Train and train a lot with many types of training partners. At the Revolution Academy as a basic guide before entering competition in the ring, we produce fighters that need to be proficient in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Wrestling and Muay Thai Kickboxing
Q: Can the Revolution Academy help me get in the ring?
A: Yes, Mixed Martial Arts is a growing sport. It is the best experience to set goals and work toward meeting them. New fighters look to begin MMA competition at the amateur level, and from the experience move to the professional mark. Our instructors and team takes on a positive and working roll to make sure our fighters enter the appropriate amateur MMA competitions by introducing them to the best promoters and shows that will help future development for success.
Q: I don't want to be fighter; however, can a training in the MMA Program?
A: The Revolution Academy offers a MMA Orientation Program for new students interested in experiencing the standup and ground fighting system taught at the academy. This course is good for people that really want to check out the MMA classes to see what it is all about. The workout and exercise benefits of training like a fighter are enormous! After the MMA orientation program, a student has the opportunity to discuss future training goals. Many students decide to start formal training in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu or No-Gi style training. Others wish to join the MMA Workout Class to continue training like a fighter. Finally, a small percent of students that finish the orientation work on joining the MMA competition team to pursue the sport of Mixed Martial Arts.
Q: What is the MMA Orientation Program?
A: This is a short introduction to our stand up and ground fighting systems taught at Revolution Academy of Martial Arts & Fitness. This orientation is for new students coming in to the school looking to check out the MMA program. If you are thinking of perusing Mixed Martial Arts competition at the amateur or professional level, this orientation program is beneficial towards reaching these goals. For new students that enjoy training like a professional fighter, one month of training sessions used in the MMA orientation are a great way to receive a workout, while learning the necessary skills for our other Martial Arts programs at the academy offered.
Q: What is the MMA Workout Program?
A: The MMA Workout Program are classes designed for students that join the academy and wish to exercise and receive the benefits of professional training. These classes are not an aerobic class and students do not memorize routines. Participants are taught the basic striking art techniques taught at the Revolution Academy. These punches, kicks, elbows and knee strikes are incorporated into a safe workout. The workouts model the same type of training our fighters use to prepare to up coming fights; however, students in the MMA Workout Class walk away with the best workout and none of the bumps or bruises.
This class is for people that like to sweat, have fun and have an energized workout.
