As a female, I must admit it was very intimidating knowing that I would be training with all men. After one class I knew that there was no reason to feel that way. I am treated as an equal and with respect. Even though I just started training, I see a huge difference in myself. Tony is a great teacher and friend. Training helps me in all aspects of my life. Since I started training, I have found things within myself that I expected to find in other things. The days that I go to class are now my favorite days of the week!

Tony has been a major inspiration to me. When I started BJJ about four years ago, I was a lost soul. I was a sophomore in college, and getting into constant trouble, fights, etc. Tony took me under his wing and was my first instructor. He taught with a passion second to none, and gave me the gift of jiu jitsu which has made me into a very successful person.

Lets talk about Self-Defense and Martial Arts Systems briefly. Fact, 95% of Self-Defense situations end up in a clinch (Grappling Range) and down on the ground. It has been said that, "If you can't fight on the ground, you can't fight."
Grappling and Ground Fighting our two of the most important, yet most neglected aspects of Self-Defense training. Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu was the first system of fighting that effectively addressed these two aspects, and changed the approach to Martial Arts training around the world. Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu works as advertised in no rules fighting competitions and on the streets for self-defense.

Wanna Learn? Attention New Students With experience students will understand that the basics are what separates the professional from amateur Jiu-Jitsu stylists. The former performs the fundamentals at a much higher level than the latter. Also, when it comes down winning or losing a position, the fundamentals play key to success! The Jiu-Jitsu stylist must acknowledge, all the time, how strong or weak he or she is in certain positions in the art jiu-jitsu. ATTENTION BRAZILIAN JIU-JITSU ENTHUSIAST Ever since I lived in Southern California where Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu was much more popular then in any part in the country, I have noticed one thing: Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu is popping up everywhere now on the East Coast. Below I have pen my best advice about choosing a legitimate school using a quick 5-step breakdown. There is more to know when reading the Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu sign in the window. Here is a basic criteria to follow: 1. Qualified Instructor(s) and qualifications that showcase he or she has reached high levels in the art of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. 2. Written Curriculum that you can see and can be shown to you. I have discussed this point already in this publication giving an overview of the positives and negatives for having curriculums. However, I have to mention this point again because it is shocking that academies or schools that have Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Programs do not follow a simple curriculum. 3. The School Has A Track Record. Ask questions to the students that are taking classes at the school. These students must have results that you are interested in. If you wish to be a champion, has this/these instructor(s) produced any winners? Do students have injuries and are they showcasing the vibes you wish to be around etc. 4. Can YOU Set Your Own Goals. Make sure you are doing what you original intended to do when you started off on your journey. You should not be forced to spar or join the competition team if this is not your goal. Moreover, if you signed on for Self-Defense and fitness level improvements, after a few lessons you should gain results: if not… 5. Watch OUT for VERY low Prices. While some schools advertise that they are the cheapest, we argue that you only get what you pay for at these schools and that price should never be a unique selling proposition. A professional school is well kept and clean. The low price bargain style schools have programs of a low qualify and no advance level programs. Of course there are a few exceptions to the rule; however, look around at the environment and watch out for what you are paying a very low price for. Special Product Bonus #2
