began his study of Martial Arts with Tae Kwon Do in 1993 at the age of 14. After watching Royce Gracie’s victories in the first Ultimate Fighting Championship, in early 1995, Tony changed his focus to Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and started training with Steve Maxwell and Phil Migliarese at Maxercise Sports/Fitness in Philadelphia, Pa, which had an affiliation with Royce Gracie's Academy in Los Angeles, Ca and Relson Gracie's Academy in Hawaii. At that time, Maxercise was one of the only places to find Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu on the East Coast having Royce & Relson Gracie teaching seminars every 3 months (Read More.)

Anthony Colantuono
Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Purple Belt
- has studied and trained Martial Arts since childhood. He holds a black belt in karate and a purple belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. Anthony has extensive background knowledge in wrestling that compliments his Jiu-Jitsu and submission grappling training. Anthony completed his instructor’s certification training for level II through the Revolution Academy in 2006. He also completed the C.O.P.S. Program™ Defensive Tactics For Law Enforcement Instructor's Training in 2006 under Tony Pacenski . Anthony's teaching style is very calm and easy to understand for all students; plain and simple to the point!
Aside from being the co-owner of the Revolution Academy, Anthony also is the owner of A&M Auto Cosmetics and has a degree in Business & Finance from Temple University of Pennsylvania.

Michael Kearse
Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Purple Belt
Michael Kearse has been training in Martial Arts for well over a decade. He is a 2nd degree black belt in karate, and has experience in Judo. "Kearse" (nickname) has been training in Grappling since 2004 and currently is a purple belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. Michael's style of Jiu-Jitsu is one of excellent transitions. He is very technical as a teacher also. Some of his most noted tournament experiences in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu were being voted Soul Cup I Most Technical Competitor at the 2005 Tournament, and again at the Revolution Academy In-House 2007 Tournament.

Michel Porfírio started training Jiu-Jitsu in 1992 under professors Francisco "Toco" Albuquerque & Rodrigo Medeiros of the Nova Geração Academy in Rio, Brazil. He competed in Brazil at every belt level having major successes through the 1990’s and early part of 2001. Buiu is well versed in traditional and modern applications of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, which he brings to the Revolution Academy teaching classes and seminars to the student body (Read More).
