Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) Orientation Program -
This is a short introduction to our stand up and ground fighting systems taught at Revolution Academy of Martial Arts & Fitness. This orientation is for new students coming in to the school looking to check out the MMA program. If you are thinking of perusing Mixed Martial Arts competition at the amateur or professional level, this orientation program is beneficial towards reaching these goals. For new students that enjoy training like a professional fighter, one month of training sessions used in the MMA orientation are a great way to receive a workout, while learning the necessary skills for our other Martial Arts programs at the academy offered.

_________________ In this adult class, students learn to apply different striking & grappling styles from Thai Boxing to Western Wrestling and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. Safety is a major foundation in this type of training. Attention is geared at understanding how to use equipment properly; partner drilling safely and use applications of striking and grappling safely to develop better; form, power and endurance in all phases of fighting in a realistic way. Students wear shorts and a t-shirts during this class to practice. An energized and total body workout is felt throughout the MMA class from the circuit training, technical drills, sparring sessions and endurance routines.
All new students must take a short assessment test of his or her ability. The assessment test includes: the familiarity to use training equipment such as a speed and heavy bag; knowledge of grappling and ground fighting; and standup striking ability and self-control. After evaluation, by two academy instructors, a new student will receive feedback on what to improve on or be given the okay to participate in the MMA class. Background training in martial arts is a plus for the assessment test. In this adult class, students learn to apply different striking styles from Thai Boxing to Western Boxing. Safety is a major foundation in this type of training. Attention is geared at understanding how to use equipment properly; partner drilling safely and use applications of striking safely to develop better; form, power and endurance in all phases of striking in a realistic way. MMA Workout Class -
The MMA Workout Program are classes designed for students that join the academy and wish to exercise and receive the benefits of professional training. These classes are not an aerobic class and students do not memorize routines. Participants are taught the basic striking art techniques taught at the Revolution Academy. These punches, kicks, elbows and knee strikes are incorporated into a safe workout. The workouts model the same type of training our fighters use to prepare to up coming fights; however, students in the MMA Workout Class walk away with the best workout and none of the bumps or bruises. This class is for people that like to sweat, have fun and have an energized workout!
