Favorite Move/Technique: The mount position. What are your short and long term goals in learning Jiu-Jitsu? Short term place in the Pan Ams...long term who knows MMA baby! How has Jiu-Jitsu effected your life? Jiu-Jitsu is a lot of fun and is keeping me in shape for where I want to be. The academy gives me a place to be at instead of sitting at home. What advice would you give to someone who is interested in learning Jiu-Jitsu? For me, it was good that I had some grappling experience before I started, but basically just do it because jiu-jitsu works. ------ Coaches Notes: Matt has done a 180 degree turn around in terms of his personal motivations and work ethic for college. He has the tools to medal at the Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Pan Ams in 2007! -------- UPDATE: Matt Rizzo won 1st place in his division at the 2007 Pan American Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Championships in California. Congratulations Rizzo!
