Revolution Academy Instructors:
Anthony, “little Tony," Pacenski Jr began his study of Martial Arts with Tae Kwon Do in 1993 at the age of 14. After watching Royce Gracie’s victories in the first Ultimate Fighting Championship, in early 1995, Tony changed his focus to Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and started training with Steve Maxwell and Phil Migliarese at Maxercise Sports/Fitness in Philadelphia, Pa, which had an affiliation with Royce Gracie's Academy in Los Angeles, Ca and Relson Gracie's Academy in Hawaii. At that time, Maxercise was one of the only places to find Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu on the East Coast having Royce & Relson Gracie teaching seminars every 3 months.
After graduating High School, Tony’s Jiu-Jitsu journey took him to Torrance, California where he participated in the Gracie Academy Instructor Training Program for 2 years. While there, he assisted Rorion and "3-time Ultimate Fighting Champion" Royce Gracie in seminars and training sessions to diverse groups, ranging from the FBI, Navy Seals, Army Rangers, and Los Angeles Police Department (L.A.P.D.) to women and children. Tony was also able to learn directly from Master Helio Gracie semi-privately during this period, while he visited the academy.
Eventually, Tony decided to return home to begin college and teach Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu at Maxercise where he originally started. At Maxercise, he instructed Jiu-Jitsu and Self-Defense classes to adults and children. From May of 2001 until April 2002, Tony taught “Jiu-Jitsu de Graca” (For Free) in his hometown of Bensalem, PA, while instructing & working on the former online Martial Arts video-magazine: www.fightersworkshop.com. During college, Tony was able to develop and put into practice three specialized training programs: 1) a Rape-Prevention Program called: S.C.R.E.A.M. Program™ (Strategically Controlled Rape Escape Against Men) ; 2) a Bar-Security Training program called: The M.A.R.K. Program™ (Management And Restraining Knowledge); & 3) The self-defense program and teaching method called The 3-7-5 System for Jiu-Jitsu from Brazil™.
Over these years, Tony successfully competed in major Jiu-Jitsu tournaments around the world. His favorite memories are winning his 1st Black Belt match at the Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu World Championships, twice fighting in the World Jiu-Jitsu Championships held in Brazil as a blue and purple belt, winning the Hawaiian International Brazilian Jiu-Jisu Championships, and US. National Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Championship. Tony is a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Black Belt under, Carlson Gracie Black Belt and World Champion, Rodrigo Medeiros. He is also a former Commando Krav Maga Level 2 certified instructor under founder Moni Aizik. At this time, Tony works as a public school teacher and is teaching Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu at the Revolution Academy of Martial Arts & Fitness. He is currently working towards his cerification as a mental sports coach as well. Sports Psychology is an important aspect of Martial Arts training and competition.
When not training, Tony enjoys traveling and the lifestyle & sport of surfing. He has lived in Los Angles and San Diego, California surfing up and down the coast from "the Range" to Wind and Sea. After experiencing a small case of localism, he decided to research the problems involved with surf rage finally developing a surfer awareness & self-defense course coined:The S.A.N.D. Program™ , which stands for Surfer Awareness and Defense-Sessions.
